The first game in the Metroid series, Metroid follows bounty hunter Samus Aran to the planet Zebes to confront the space pirates and the biological weapon that threatens the galaxy.

- There are 21 missile tanks to collect, for a maximum of 255 missiles.
- There are 8 energy tanks in the game, but you can only carry 6.
